5 Habits to Adopt for Perfect Sleep

Sleeping issues continue to daunt most of us from time-to-time.
Our demanding schedules ensure that our sleep is disturbed either in terms of quality or duration-wise. A sporadic incidence of bad sleep isn't that big an issue. However, if you feel that lack of sleep or poor quality-of-sleep is hampering your performance at work or your health, you need to read about the following 
Better Sleeping Habits:

1. Develop Your Personal Sleep Routine You don’t need to follow sleep timing-related advice that surrounds us in the form of tabloids and blogs. Just develop a pattern that is suitable to your lifestyle. It doesn’t make sense to follow a routine that inconveniences you and makes you “work” towards getting proper sleep. However, you need to follow some sort of routine. This means knowing when you should switch-off the lights and when you need to wake-up.
This is best done by noticing at what time you tend to get a bit heavy-eyed at night. Keep your going-to-bed time around this period. Follow this with a wake-up timing that allows you an extra few minutes to laze in the bed. Ensure a wake-up time with the flexibility of 15 to 20 minutes. Even if you get less than the recommended eight or nine hours of sleep, it won’t matter much if your quality of sleep is good.




2. Eat Lighter & Early Dinner Ensure that you have had your major meal or supper at least three to four hours before the sleep time. Eating too close to bedtime tends to keep away the sleep.
 Since the body is actively involved in metabolizing the food that you have consumed, its metabolic rate is up. This means that chances of falling asleep decrease.
 You might wonder that often after having a heavy meal you get a bit drowsy. However, that is more of a nap that is induced by the body trying to maximize its resources towards digesting the food and slowing down other systems. However, to get a longer and refreshing nighttime sleep, you should eat lighter and a bit early.
3. Exercising Helps This might sound a bit strange to you but exercise and the quality of your sleep are interrelated. You need to understand that sleeping patterns are essentially a part of your internal body clock. 
This includes the body’s ability to rest and return to active performance. However, due to issues like stress, anxiety and poor dietary habits, this inherent body clock is compromised. In order to sustain the optimal performance of our bodily rhythm, you need to exercise regularly.
 This doesn’t mean pumping iron in the gym is compulsory. Any sort of activity where you can dedicate about 40 minutes, combining some stretching, running and jogging is sufficient.
4. Choose Evening/Night Foods with Precaution Once the evening sets-in, try to reduce your intake of alcohol and caffeine. Even nicotine is known to disrupt the action of biochemicals in our body that induce sleep.
 There are some foods that help you in falling asleep with ease. For instance, milk and complex carbohydrates found in foods like brown rice contain a higher amount of Tryptophan. 
This compound is known to assist the sleeping cycle. Avoid foods that are high in sugar before bedtime. These tend to induce the sugar-rush that can disrupt your sleep cycle.

Soha, So Happy!



Her irrepressible energy and vivacity come from being completely at ease with herself. And from being in love.
They say people who are naturally fidgety burn more calories than those who pick a spot and rarely move. Soha Ali Khan transmits a breezy, vibrant energy that's hard not to take in.
 She talks fast, moves a lot and smiles frequently. No wonder, this self-confessed gym-hating Bollywood actor is so slim, with super-toned arms she has no idea how she got. 
"I think they're genetic. I haven't done a thing to deserve them," she laughs. The youngest daughter of the late cricketing legend Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and actor Sharmila Tagore, Soha is surprisingly friendly and down-to-earth. Cool, confident and candid, she confesses to being obsessed about eating frozen yoghurt, figs and chocolates everyday.
 "Even if I'm shooting in the middle of a desert, my spot boy has to go looking for a village home with a refrigerator to stock the yoghurt," she laughs.
Stay-slim secrets
Soha's quirky food fetishes mean that she has to make a conscious effort to maintain her naturally petite state. "I love running and dancing, and any cardio activity-other than the cardio machines at the gym-that get me sweating. 
I also enjoy sports but it's difficult to find people to play with in Mumbai," she says. Soha balances the hyper-energy within, with regular yoga. "I've been doing it for a year and it has grown on me," she says.
 She's yet to master the art of meditation though. "At the end of each yoga session, you're supposed to meditate for 15 minutes and I just can't get my mind to be still!"Given her small frame and youthful looks, it's hard to believe that Soha is even a day older than 25 (she's 33). Despite looking the way she does, ageing is something that concerns the actor, who feels her entry into Bollywood was needlessly delayed. "I advise anyone interested in acting to begin as early as they can.
 There are exceptions, but generally speaking, female actors do have a short window for success. I don't mean one should get into it straight out of school, maybe after college," she says. 
Soha had joined the corporate world after graduating with a master's from the London School of Economics, and gave it up in a few years to become an actor, like her mother and elder brother, Saif Ali Khan."

New Delhi, Feb 12 (IANS) Did you shelve love after marriage? Experts suggest that this Valentine's Day, with some planning, time management and surprises, couples can rekindle romance and brush away boredom from married life.
TV actor Pawan Shankar, married to Yukti for more than eight years, feels that priorities change after having kids, but it's the responsibility of the couples to keep the romance alive.
Shankar told IANS: "It often happens that after having kids a gap comes in between husband and wife because priorities change. To revive that love, efforts have to be made from both the sides."
He believes that women make more efforts, adding, "Ninety percent of the women try to revive love in the marriage, while only ten percent men make that effort. This is because men are not expressive. If there is a synergy at the mental level, then marriage is a bliss."
His views seem to be similar to his new show "Kyaa Hua Tera Wada", a story of a married couple with three children and how they try to revive romance in their married life.
Financial issue and parental interference sometimes mar the romance and divorce lawyer Shiksha Kushwaha feels it could be avoided if the spouses spend some quality time together and be honest while accepting the truth.
"Feeling of incompatibility, financial issues, parental interference and extra-marital affairs are some of the prominent issues but all of these can be avoided if the couple take care of a few things.
"Show genuine love and affection towards the other person. Pamper him or her and spend more time together. Also, avoid ego, during fights avoid calling names, and be genuine towards each other," Kushwaha said.
There is no guarantee that in a love marriage adjustment issues won't mess up the romance factor.
A young professional, Veta Ratra, who married businessman Sahil after 10 years of courtship, says that post-marriage couples get more time together but waste it in finding faults with each other.
"I was into a relationship for 10 years before I got married. I am married for two-and-a-half-years. Marriage is an institution that both partners have to take care of.
"But when you start living together, you tend to notice even the minutest things and complain about those things, which are irrelevant. But if you are content and satisfied with your achievements, marriage can be the most beautiful thing," Ratra said.
But there is a solution to every problem, says Samir Parikh, a psychiatrist in Max Healthcare, and suggests that some quality time with each other can work wonders.
"Couples need a regular boost to their love life in terms of spending good, intimate and fun moments together. At the same time, one also needs to appreciate that merely enjoying occasion is not good enough, and they should try and find time for each other in the chores of routine life," he said.
But at the same time he cautions not to go out of the way to impress partners as it could have an adverse effect.
"One doesn't need to impress! Do what both of you enjoy doing together. A gesture is an extension of a relationship. Last but not the least, some intimate moments could bring freshness to a monotonous life," he added.
So this Valentine, rekindle romance with little surprises.
"Love is not lost but shelved back after marriage, hence surprises help in keeping the marriage alive. As one grows, the romance also matures. In the initial years, giving a rose bud might look highly romantic but at a different stage it might look kiddish.
"But the things that remain evergreen are that you know your partner's interest and become a part of it. Get involved, don't do things just for the heck of it. Your partner can distinguish real from fake. So, show genuine interest," said marriage counsellor Vikhyat Singh.

1. Yogurt is magic for the tum. Change Audio/Video Format In VLC



 

Normally when we need to convert Audio or video from one format to another it is difficult to find proper software, Now I am going to tell you the way to convert formats through VLC media player
Open VLC player click “media” > “Convert/Save”
Change Audio/video Format
Widow will open to select the file to be converted by using “ADD” button
Change Audio/video Format
Then click “Convert/Save” button at the bottom
Click the required format in which you want to convert the file then browse the required location to save the file through “Browse” button then click “start” at the bottom.
